Air Stone Limewood
Limewood Air Stone
Limewood, also known as Basswood, is a light weight, strong, odorless, close grain hardwood that will not split easily. The low notable grain creates a high porosity which produces a fine mist of mini air bubbles making it ideal for aquarium applications like lift tubes and counter current protein skimmers.
A rigid stem is firmly pressed into and extending ½” from the block. This 3/16” diameter tube allows a firm, sealed connection of standard aquarium flexible vinyl or silicone airline tubing. This non-barbed tube allows the installation of a rigid centering stabilizer to hold the air block centered in the reaction chamber making it more effective.
Being firmly pressed, this non-bonded stem may be removed for other applications where a stem is not required. This can be accomplished with a simple pull and twist using a pair of pliers
Aqua-Link ADP manufactures air blocks in the following sizes;
2 widths; ½”x ½” and ¾”x ¾”
5 lengths; 2”, 2.5”, 3”, 4”, 5”
** The most common size fitting a variety of applications is the 2” x ¾”x ¾”**
Shorter air blocks confine air mist lower in a reaction tube increasing contact time.
Longer air blocks will handle higher pressure air pumps for much larger applications

Egg Crate is a versatile material utilized in filtration applications. Most commonly used as light weight support trays for bio media in Wet Dry Trickle Filters.
